ME Day :)

so it was a day all about Me, Myself and I.

Started out the day at a buffet lunch with my family. It was supposed to be a champagne brunch with an intercontinental spread but mom got the hotels mixed up and we ended up Traders Hotel which didn't serve champagne brunch and instead of intercontinental cuisine, we ended up with international buffet instead. How was the food? Let's just say I wouldn't be headed back any time AT ALL.

After lunch, I headed out to Browhause to get my brows done. Wanted to have my nails done at my usual place but due to time constraints, I settled for an express manicure at my regular salon, The Scene at Wisma. I was there for a treatment and so I figured, why not? It felt quite awesome having everyone waiting on you. Someone doing my hair, someone doing my toe nails and someone doing my finger nails. All that was lacking was someone to do my make-up! :p

S brought me Dozo Restaurant at Valley Point for dinner. I have been meaning to check that place out for the longest time but never got the chance so this was a fantastic surprise. The food was AMAZING. Service was impeccable, ambience was very romantic and cosy, and food presentation and quality was truly of a high standard. Look out for a proper review on Food Gossip with Germaine.

ok my teeth are super discoloured because of the red wine.

super yummy food at reasonable price!!! :) check out my review on it at Food Gossip with Germaine

After dinner, S and I took a walk at Marina Bay Sands (MBS). It really is very impressive I must say. I think it is a far cry from Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) which definitely lacks in class, splendour and magnificence. Perhaps its due to the different appeals they were trying to achieve, with RWS geared towards family fun entertainment and MBS for the executives and more affluent crowd. Either way, my heart's been won over by MBS. Will be headed over for a wedding in July so look out for that entry!!!

Can't wait for MBS to take off proper and in full force. I think it will be nice to book a room and have a party or a romantic weekend getaway…*wistful*

I recently attended a friend's wedding in Bali so look out for my entry on that!!! It has to be the wedding of the century!!! The couple were amazing hosts and everything was well thought out and ensured that their guests had the best of time. It was extremely romantic, sweet and pretty much like a fairytale or scene from the movies. Picture white canopies on the lawn facing the beach with waves crashing and ending off with a fireworks display that could put our national day ones to shame. THAT was the wedding I attended. Next post!! :p
