Hee Check out my new LongChamp camera pouch! Thanks S!! :) Good eye!
We took the EURORAIL to Seville and it was surprisingly smooth, clean and spacious! I was expecting a dingy train with compromised seating and perhaps I sorta envisioned a rickety train. Well it was definitely smoother than an MRT train ride, to the extent I didn't even feel the train start moving. There's also a lot more room than your regular economy class plane and the seats are way more comfortable.
Seville was our traditional and scenic indulgence for this Spain trip. Unlike Madrid and Barcelona which were pretty much more city-like, Seville was mainly low-rise buildings with a lot of historical buildings. It was extremely picturesque and made you feel laid back and relaxed. In Seville, people actually have siesta where they take a break from work from 2pm to 4pm. You would find most of the shops closed during this period. Quite amazing especially if you come from a fast paced society like Singapore. The entire town felt very peaceful and it was generally rather quiet with not many vehicles. Many people walked or cycled. I love the clear blue skies and how all the old architecture fell right into place against the blue backdrop perfectly. In Seville, we visited many historic places, did a lot of sight seeing and a lot of WALKING. haha we wanted to get a bike too but figured it would be too much of a hassle as we weren't familiar with the pitt stops. Seville was really nice. It made you just stop, breathe and take it all in.
The weather in Seville was slightly warmer than Madrid. In fact whilst we were there, it was sunny with cool air. Pretty perfect I must say. The people in Seville also seemed more friendly and good natured somehow.
We had lunch at this lovely place with an awesome view and delicious food called RIO GRANDE. Service was delightful too!

At the top of the clock tower with the bells. We had to walk up 42 flights and I was in desperate need of the toilet!!

We got totally ripped off with this. The guy refused to tell us how much it was and we figured it couldn't be that much. But in the end it was SGD10 for that pathetic bunch of chestnuts of which 90% weren't even fresh!
It wasn't really hot but just felt nice to eat an ice-cream.

The Gothic Cathedral we visited. I actually took many pictures but only showed a few above. TOO MANY!

XoXo
