Where have we been???

Hi girls!!

Wow, it's been almost a month since my last entry! I'm really sorry for disappearing but this wasn't an intended hiatus. I've just been so busy! The year started off slow but somewhere over the last 3 weeks it just started becoming really crazy. Work is piling up and there's just so much to do and so much to learn! I come home every night feeling exhausted and I just don't have the energy to do anything else except to chill by nestling up to my SATC (Sex and the City). Yes, I am that slow. I only just started watching this series this year and I am loving it! Watching Season 6 now which I believe is the last one? You wouldn't believe what kind of routine I have gotten into. There was this whole party fever over Christmas and New Year's where I would be at Butter almost every week but ever since the Chinese New Year, I have been spending my Friday nights home! :( I always had this theory that if you don't go out on Friday nights, your weekends feel shorter. Not sure if that is the case, but the weekends really fly by for me. I spend my entire Saturday home sleeping and I am still so tired! Not sure what's going on but I hope to get out of this routine this week onwards. HELP!! Going to be stuck in a rut soon if I don't wriggle out.

So how was your CNY? This year CNY was extremely quiet for me. I barely gambled and I didn't stay up late doing fun stuff. It's funny but everyone tired out early this CNY and my entire family (cousins and all) just seemed more muted. Perhaps its with age and the fact that they are mostly married now. Gatherings pretty much ended before 11pm. It was painful!!! I really wanna play blackjack but now that all 15 days have come and gone, guess I am going to have to wait till next year! :(

Today I finally went for my facial. Those late nights and drinks after work have been taking its toll on my skin. I tend to break out in tiny dots when I drink too much alcohol. At a glance you can't see them but under white light…there they are! I think I need to make a massage appointment soon too. My entire body is aching and I haven't been for once since my Vietnam trip in November. Any suggestions on where I can get a good Swedish Massage for a reasonable price? If not, I am probably going to go back to LUSH Spa or maybe the one at Amara.

Had a craving for crabs today so I dragged the parents out to dinner at Yum Cha Serangoon Gardens. Despite their inconsistent standards, I am just grateful they did not fail me today. The crab was succulent, tasty and it was a very satisfying meal. Special mention to the very sweet and fresh Poached Prawns in Chinese Wine! :)

W just told me that the Overseas Restaurant which serves the yummy char siew has an outlet in Singapore now too!! But like the one in KL, we need to reserve the char siew! Shall make a reservation for next Sunday and take the family there for lunch! :)

Ooooh bought a pair of heels today from Ninewest. Was sorely disappointed that 2 of the other pairs I picked out didn't have my size. The pair which I finally settled for was a 2nd choice too. I originally wanted the black which is GORGEOUS and extremely classy and shouts runway, but they didn't have my size. Was deciding between the blue and the grey and went for the safer choice - the grey. I guess it is more classic and sweet, but now looking at the pics, the Blue seems more designer and more va va voom. Funky and stylish. Ooooooh. Wish I could have just bought both! Either way, I love my new shoes. Shall wear them to work tomorrow. :)

aren't they pretty??? so satc!!!

too bad the black didn't have my size or it would have been a no-brainer. blue or grey? blue is funky and stylish. grey is safer, sweet and classic.

bought the GREY!! :)

After neglecting FashionITCH for some time, I need to go invoice some of the orders that came after CNY. The CNY collection was rather popular so thank you for your support!! We still have another collection waiting to be launched but Lin and I have been so up to our neck - her engagement and my work; that we hadn't had time to take pictures! We hope to launch our next collection within the next 2 weeks so stay tuned!

check out the salmon! my uncle made this and yes it tasted as good as it looks!

Spilt something on my shirt the other day so I decided to go shopping for A top but ended up buying a couple!! :S Love this lazy top. Perfect for a casual Sunday with Jeans or shorts. Extremely comfortable too!!

I bought this in 3 colours!! Navy, Dusty Pink and Cream! I love it!! It's perfect for work. I usually wear it with a knee-length or shorter hugging skirt/pencil skirt. Sometimes I throw on a long chain sometimes I don't. And top it off with a cardigan or one of those pull overs. LOVE!!! Think maybe I should get more…I like how the collar shows off the collar bones and neck. Love square collars!! And of course, it's good quality thick lycra!! Nice and cooling.. :)

Hee, I thought this top was sweet and fun. Wore it the other day with a short white flare skirt. :)
Have you checked out Level 33? It's at MBFC Tower 1. Quite a nice chill area that reminds me of Sevva in Hong Kong. The view is good and it has good winds although I think the outdoor seating is a tad limited and the food ain't great. But then again it's still new so I'll give it a discount for teething stages.

the view at night. it's a lot better at night. ;)

2 weeks before CNY, getting my nails done with A. Some girly time at my favourite FE Nails. Look for Serene, she is the BEST! They are always nicely done, neat and they last! Unfortunately for me though, they didn't last till CNY though. :( With all that typing and all, I am just grateful they lasted all up to the day before CNY! I wasn't naive enough to think they would, especially when they were dark red, but I missed the appointment I made just before CNY. Boo hoo! :(
Chillin' at Double Bay post nails :)

Did you know they had an ice-skating ring at the MBS food court? haha reminds me of the malls in Dubai and Abu Dhabi!

Have you been to Inagiku? A nice and quaint Japanese Restaurant at Swissotel. With your American Express Card, you can get set lunches at one for one! This set above costs about $90 normally but with the card, it's literally half price! :) YUMMS. Love the ambience.
Went for the CSI Exhibition. It's was a tad disappointing I must say although kudos for the effort! Haha Perhaps I am just too old. It was done up pretty much suited for a school excursion. So kids/parents, it's worth going. CSI fans my age, don't bother unless you really have nothing much planned.
Hee, I wish Singapore had the 4 seasons. It need not be so extreme but perhaps like Hong Kong? I love wearing tights like these. Under a short skirt or dress, and BOOTS!! Love the whole "layered" look too!

My Vietnamese CNY outfit for DAY One. Got this in Vietnam. Don't be fooled. It's actually very sexy with slits up to your waist and the buttons open to show a bit of peek-a-boo at the tummy. :) Wore this with my white denim skirt this very casual and laid back CNY.
chilling at CMPB. I didn't like the rainy days in Jan but I sure miss the cool weather.

It was some girly talk we had over tea that day at Marmalade Pantry @ ION! hee when's our next meet up?? Everyone's so busy!! :S
Lion Dance at the Office. Isn't this lion cuter than the usual ones?

checked out Shanghai Dolly. pretty much like Dragonfly. ie. not my scene.
My outfit for CNY Charity Dinner with the parents. It's a tad big for me but I love the colour!!

Ok, that's quite a bit of pictures and a very long entry. Hope it made up for a month of silence. Have a lovely week ahead girls. Stay FABULOUS!! :)

XoXo
Germaine
