Today was grooming day. Spent the entire afternoon at Holland Village doing my nails, brazilian, and brows. I have seriously sparse eyebrows and every time I visit Browhause, they always persuade me to do the brows resurrection procedure - $1.2k!!! I don't deny that I probably should do it as it will save me a lot of trouble in the mornings as I wouldn't need to draw my brows and it will definitely brighten my eyes…BUT I have been feeling poor these days so this will have to wait! As it is, today I finally caved and converted my brazilian wax package with STRIP to IPL. After contemplating for a year and a half, I finally convinced myself that it would be more economical in the long run. Plus I was hoping it would be less painful. So was it? I haven't quite decided. I actually found it quite painful today as the procedure was slightly longer than regular waxing. And usually I use hot wax, but for IPL, they try to numb the skin freezing it first and that honestly hurt me more than the zapping! The therapist promised me it will be less painful after the 2nd or 3rd session. I sure hope she's right!
Decided to let my nails take a break so didn't do any colour today. So strange to see them in their original shade. My nails have become so dry due to my constant nail polish. They seem more brittle too. Maybe it's because I don't drink milk as often as I used to. Hmm…not sure if there's a bearing…
Had a sumptuous seafood dinner at Long Beach Dempsey with the family and S. My bro had just returned from a long vacation in Germany so he was itching for some local seafood. It was very yummy and we had so much I am still feeling full! Unfortunately I forgot to bring my camera! And I was too lazy to use my bb. I realise I never really upload my bb pics anyways.
Finished my CSI NY Season 6 series earlier this week. Feel so lost with no Criminal Minds, Gossip Girl, CSI NY, and How I Met Your Mother. Going to start a new series with a whole 6 seasons to catch up on - ENTOURAGE. S loves it and he just finished all 6 seasons so now it's my turn!! :)
Sigh the weekend really whizzed by. Sorry! No pics this time round as I didn't bring my camera out. Here are some pics taken last weekend when S and I spent our Sunday afternoon at LUSH SPA @ the Singapore Polo Club:

damn chill. Love this place. It's on the 2nd floor and you over look the pool. S and I were commenting how it's actually really nice to sit there amidst the sounds of children's laughter playing in the pool.

the place has excellent service. even S was impressed. they start by serving you 2 cups of warm tea and they keep checking in on you whilst you are waiting to see if you need a refill of water or tea. you can also order from off the poolside menu before or after your treatment. the last time i came with the girls we did a champagne sparty so food and champs were provided. this time, S and I just did a simple full body massage and eye treatment as we both have terrible eye bags!

What better way to relax…chilling at the terrace, watching our serials, indulging in a cheese platter!!! I must say they were generous with the cheese and as mentioned, service was excellent as they actually brought out more crackers for us when they noticed we had finished. Even though we were seated outside, they still kept checking in on us to make sure we had our glasses refilled, etc.
It was a couple room but I was too lazy to take the full picture (Sorry!). Very cosy and nice. A perfect way to spend a Sunday leading up to the dreadful Monday. The massage was very relaxing and invigorating. One of the better ones around. After which they also let us try the various spa chocolates which were not bad at all. Strangely, the chocolates actually gave a calming effect.
S is having reservist now and going to be out on exercise for the next couple of days. Missing him already! Looks like I am going to have to battle Monday all on my own. :(
Oh! And we finally are set for Spain! Can't wait! Although the well known pick-pocketing there is scaring me…hopefully we will be vigilant and blessed. Anyway, long way more…but still excited!! :)
Gonna catch some Entourage now before turning in. Look out for our next collection on Tues!
Good night!
XoXo
Germaine
